You begin your year with most of the planets in the independent Eastern sector of the Horoscope. Thus you are very much in a period of personal independence. You have the power to change conditions to your will and to design your life the way you want it to be. Power is not the problem. With Jupiter retrograde, you are not sure of what you want or what you want to create. It’s as if you are sitting in a high-powered sports car, with plenty of fuel in the tank but with no road map or GPS. I can go anywhere but where should I go? How do I get there? In these situations the first thing to do is to get mentally clear. Gather facts. Introspection is good. Ask for Higher Guidance. You will receive it.

Most of the planets are below the horizon of your Horoscope; the lower half of the Horoscope is dominant right now. So do whatever needs to be done careerwise but shift most of your attention to the home, family and your emotional well-being. The main thing now is to find, and function from, your personal point of emotional harmony. Once this happens the other things will fall into place. This is a time to work on your career and outer goals by the methods of night, not the methods of day. During the night, the deeper mind dreams up what it will do the next day. It visualizes all that will happen (though we are not consciously aware of this) and this is what happens during the day. Work to ‘enter the state’ of what you want to achieve, and to ‘feel’ as if you are already there. This is interior work. When the time comes for your next career push, the actions will happen naturally.

You begin your year in the midst of a yearly financial peak, so the month ahead is very prosperous. Your financial planet, Saturn, is receiving beautiful aspects until the 20th. Your financial intuition is firing on all cylinders. When your intuition comes into play, the financial life becomes more like a dance than a grind. It is rhythmic and beautiful. Money goes out, money comes in. You finish one task and another comes in. The money that comes in is earned joyfully and honourably. The past few years have been initiations into the spiritual dimension of wealth and this continues in the month ahead.

Your love planet Mercury is ‘out of bounds’ until the 8th. Your social life – and a current relationship – is taking you outside your normal boundaries. But no one handles this better than Sagittarius.
